Saying goodbye to friends and family like we're jumping off a cliff without knowing if a safety net's been set. Breath after breath as we drive off... "Daddy, why are your eyes wet?" "My love this home is one you never will forget." Everything we could bring with us with us, waiting at the gate for the airplane that will carry us away. In the distance, see our skyline mirroring a pink sunset, rose-colored as the reasons calling us to stay. It's the leap in "leap of faith" which takes the heart. If all we got is we got each other, then that's a start. We'll make a new home here. It takes an immigrant to know what to hide and what to show, but when to stay and when to go is rarely clear. Every night we dream of home and every morning when we wake, pick up the struggle that's been waiting for us here. It's the move in "moving on" which is so tough. If all we got is we got each other, then that's enough. We'll make a new home here. (This here is our love... Our one song to sing...) What do you miss? Jesus, everything. Loneliness sure comes on strong. It would be easy to fall back upon regret. So, why'd you leave? I guess we heard a call and so, breath after breath, we'll make this home one that we never will forget. It's the start in "starting over" which takes so long. If all we got is we got each other, we'll still belong. We'll make a new home here.

The first one, we never saw. An empty amniotic sac, that was all. Years of sex and prayer beget an early end. Pick up the Mifepristone pill, and start again. We’ll start again. The tiniest of losses can astound us. Death is all around us. The second one, we see a beating heart. A little small for seven weeks, a timid start. Who makes this small life borrowed for twelve weeks and then re-breaks the aching hearts we hoped might start to mend? We’ll start again. The tiniest of losses can astound us. The most fundamental joy, a joy denied us. Death is all around us. We'll hold you safely inside us. Death is all around us. We'll grow you both strong inside us.

Two Boys 07:15
The same old stories, highlights from younger years, cracked open, passed like beers between us. We know the secrets: the girls who came before; the hurts we still ignore; the boy at each man's core. If only our wives could've seen us. We learn when to shake a hand, and when to stand up for a fight. To show up to work on time, and treat our mothers right. But I've yet to meet a man who sleeps soundly through the night. Brother, let down your load. It's just us boys tonight. How long's it been now? The last time you came around, we walked a sleeping town until dawn. It went unspoken, but you seemed burdened by some weight. A new slowness to your gate. Your laugh, a second late. I could tell a sadness held you. Has it moved on? We learn when to raise a hand, and when to back down from a fight. To get back to work on time, and treat our partners right. But I've yet to meet a man who sleeps soundly through the night. Brother, let down your load. It's just us boys tonight. Here come my kids now, running muddy through the house - one bloody at the mouth - like they don't hear me. The youngest one, how he looks like you. I sometimes call him by your name. His laugh, I swear, is yours. But the tears, they fall the same. Despite the distance and the years, you're still near me. We learn when to take a hand, and when to move on from a fight. To get home from work on time, and treat our children right. But I've yet to meet a man not looking towards some distant light. Brother, let down your load. It's just us boys tonight.

I got a rich man's family except for the rich man. Just a hard working daddy who thinks that he still can put a little extra in, and bring a little extra home, and spend a little extra on these kids we got here growing strong. I got a rich man's family, but they only got me. Just a hard working daddy who got pretty damn lucky. An angel for a wife, and an all-star for a daughter, a cute rascal for a son... I already won the lottery. I'm a man made rich by his rich man's family. What would my rich man's family be like with a rich man? A backyard, bigger closets, a new car and real Ray-Bans? Could he love them half as much as me? Could he be the man I strive to be? Would my kids even turn out the same? How would my wife call out his name? Without my rich man's family, what would I be? Just another middle-aged man brewing regret like it's coffee. No-one to share the laughter. No-one to count the blessings. No-one to keep me faithful. I'm grateful for my destiny to be a man made rich by his rich man's family. (There's a rich man somewhere who's got to be lonely.)

Can any words describe how a parent loves a child? Affirming winds of feeling. You are not alone. A light hangs from a ceiling. Open the window, get it swinging. The unseen, seen in shadows dancing. You are not alone. The heartbeat is the static. The faintest light can still astound us. It's life that's all around us! You are not alone. Who makes the life that lives us? Each parent pleads, "Forgive us!" Nobody said it would be easy, but you are not alone. I know you're looking for something. Everything inside nothing. We'll keep the light on and the door open. 気をつけて、いってらっしゃい. You'll always be welcome here. We'll keep the light on and the door open. Can any words describe how a parent loves a child? Affirming winds of feeling. You are not alone. A light hangs from the ceiling. An open window sets it swinging. Each breath of wind can bring new meaning. You are not alone. I know you're looking for something. Everything inside nothing. We'll keep the light on and the door open. 気をつけて、いってらっしゃい. You'll always be welcome here. We'll keep the light on and the door open. This here is our love, our one song to sing. We'll keep the light on and the door open. Wherever you go, that's where I'll be. The beat of your heart is my heart beating. We'll keep the light on and the door open. Keep the door open.

Wherever you are, that's where I'll be. The beat of your heart moves the blood in my veins. This here is our love, our one song to sing.

Easy for You 04:51
They must be leaving for some good reason. They've been floating now for days. The deeper water looks so much darker. "Ha, ha. The crew deserves a raise." I'm sure we'll sleep well back at our hotel. It's been a rough weekend. I doubt we'll come again. Did somebody tell you that this would be easy? (It's easy for you.) Did they feel hopeful? Another boatful that's gone missing in the night becomes a short-read passed to my newsfeed. Which is the button for dislike? My tiny protest, surely unnoticed. But where does change begin? Hashtags will let them in? Did somebody tell you that this would be easy? (It's easy for you.)

What is a word I can say if I don't want to say "Love"? Because the word "Love" doesn't mean anything. Maybe I can say nothing and you'll know what I mean. What is a word I can say if I don't want to say "God"? Because the word 'God" doesn't mean anything. Maybe I can say nothing and you'll know what I mean. What is a word I can say if I want to say everything to you? Anything less the the whole wouldn't do. Anything less just wouldn't be true.

This here is our love, our one song to sing. We’re one now. This here is praying. Wherever you go, that’s where I’ll be. We’re one now, this here is praying. The near and the far, the distance between: all shadows that dance on a screen! The beat of your heart echoes my heart beating. We’re one now, this here is praying. Loves born and unborn, homes seen and unseen: all dreams inside dreams inside dreams. This here is our love, our one song to sing. We’re one now. This here is praying. If what isn't God is still God, then what isn't near is still near. If they ask, "What is love?" we'll say, "This." If they ask, "Where is home?" we'll say, "Here."
